Dr Rosaly Lopes, Senior Research Scientist at NASA-JPL, on the role played by the JPL team, pioneering the tech that enabled the first moon landings 50 years ago, and the key role it continues to play today, including what’s next for the future of manned missions to the moon, and weighing the risks of attempting to go beyond, to Mars.
