We begin our 3-part series by looking at the fundamental nature of human curiosity, the technology it spawns, and the deeper questions we will inevitably have to answer. For instance, being able to colonise Mars is technically challenging, but what really drives our decision – are we creating technologies to make a replacement planet, or are we aiming for something greater here on Earth?
